Soon the tomatoes will be gone, the sweet potatoes will be dug and the snow will again return to the delight of us skiers. But wait…I’m not quite ready for the snow yet. I still have plenty of NSC things to do before those grey days of central Ohio arrive. We have our big membership meeting coming up on Sept 7 at Harbor Hills. Traditionally, this is the meeting where you re-up for another year, make some sort of commitment to the big trips, and buy enough raffle tickets to make your wallet gasp. You also get a decent meal. The club supplies the bar-b-qued meats…you bring a covered dish to share. A big thank you to Ginny Young for the CVSR wine train weekend & bike ride and to Tom and Dayle Huffman for the Kokosing Kayak & Camp. A special thank you to Tom and Jan Erndt for hosting all the Kokosing river rats for a Nebraska Can-bake at their Apple Valley retreat. Coming off of a successful happy hour in Zanesville, we have another happy hour scheduled in September at Flanagan’s Pub on the east side of Columbus. We plan to rotate these happy hours around to make sure there is one near you. Lobby Deb Crall or Nancy Channel (the happy hour committee) for your favorite port of call and we’ll try to party at your end of the world. Some of you I haven’t seen in a while. I hope you will be able to join us on September 7. Good wishes to our Alaska adventurers. What if the winning person has someone they would like to accompany them to Park City? A. We've made arrangements with the travel agent to hold a room for two with the second space for the winner’s roomie. Q. How do I get tickets to sell? A. ZIPLINE TOUR, SUNDAY SEPT. 26TH 11:30 am - 3:30 pm
Well, we did it! We have more than 20 people going on the zipline trip to Ozone Zipline Adven-ture. That means the price is $55/person. The next meeting will be your last chance to join us on the Zipline trip. All payments are due by September 7th. If you think you'd like to go but need more information, call Kathy Kern at 740-587-3109. We'll meet at Ozone Zipline Adventure's site by 11:30 Sunday morning for a 3- 4 hour tour through the canopy of Southwestern Ohio. Those who have signed up will be receiving additional information soon. Remember, you don't have to be a member to join us, so bring your friends. You are ALWAYS secured - a very
safe adventure! Must be over 10 yrs old & between 80 & 260 lbs.
September Happy Hour at Flanagan's East It is unbelievable how fast summer has gone by but
as we fine ourselves approaching September we real-
ized we have not had our summer fix at Flanagan’s
East. So we are planning a September Happy Hour for
Thursday the 16th.
We will meet around 6ish on the patio weather per-
mitting. Music starts at 7pm so plan to join fellow
members for a late summer happy hour and catch up or
what everyone is doing.
Flanagan's is located at the corner of Reynoldsburg
-New Albany Road and Clark State Rd. If you are
coming from Columbus follow Clark State Rd from
Hamilton Road in Gahanna. If you are coming in from
Newark use Broad Street and go North on Reyn-
oldsburg-New Albany Road.

ing. If you are signed up for the trip a $150 deposit is needed with a suggested payment of $100 per meeting.
Final payments are due by the January 2011 club meeting. After the Sept meeting, the trip will be opened up
to other OVSC member clubs with all unclaimed rooms being returned by December 5th, 2010.
