A Happy New Year to all of you all. We appreciate your loyalty and great business with you.

The world has greatly changed in these days; among changes, we are especially concerned about young generation’s losing the interest in cars. Also, due to weak yen, costs of the tuning parts imported from the US, China, Taiwan, and Korea have been increased by approximately 30% which place many companies in a difficult situation. However, HKS has been particular about in-house manufacturing since inauguration; we believe that now is the time to make full use of our strength and come into the limelight. Also, we will bring back parts for old vehicles to meet the expectation of many customers.

It has been 3 year since 86/BRZ was released and became new target for tuning; there will more used 86/BRZ for tuning. So, we will suggest more tuning menus for this car so many people can enjoy tuning and driving more than ever.

Also, for newly released vehicles, HKS promises that we will develop new technology and create “tuning culture”.

We wish you good health for 2015, and may this year become a wonderful one for you.

DMR-200D（Direct Multi Recorder）

Advanced drive recorder HKS DMR is released to handle driving for various purposes!

Main Camera: 70mmｘφ26mm(2Mpixel)2nd Camera: 40mmｘφ18mm（350Kpixel)These are the smallest size available for drive recorder (2014.10).High degree of freedom for selecting an installation position.

Electromagnetic noise that adversely affects radio or TV is contained as much as possible. Radio interference to digital broadcast, AM radio, FM radio, etc. is reduced.

Seamless image obtained by HKS’ unique recording method can be checked by the special viewer software (downloadable from HKS website). The complete video including the viewer data can be exported as a file.

Variable cutoff feature allows continuous operation of the unit whilst the car is not running but switch off at the set voltage to protect the battery.

New DMR monitor size is 1280 x 480 which enables efficient data compression.Variable rate 20〜1.25fps enables 1GB/6 hours recording at longest and expanding the length of time used for monitoring and recording.Up to 64GBmicroSDXC card are supported.

● "Natural steering feeling" so that a driver can trace the line as desired was pursued as a handling characteristic. Also, this product attains stable driving under high speed driving and reduces the sway at high speed and sense of high centre of gravity usually felt from the factory damper.

● The factory damper’s setting is sporty and good for aggressive driving, especially for the rear side. However, its ride quality is not the best for street driving.

● Comfortable driving can be provided with improved bump feeling from the rear side and sporty characteristic. Settings is performed for various driving situations such as commuting, street driving, long distance driving for leisure, winding, aggressive driving, etc.

HKS is going to participate in Tokyo Auto Salon 2015 with NAPAC. It has been 3 years since we participated last time in 2012. As total tuning manufacturer, we are going to suggest new

“tuning packages” and introduce new products on sale soon, etc. We are looking forward to many people visiting our booth and sharing exciting moment.

Jet Ski World Cup 2014 (King’s Cup) was held in Jomiten Beach in Pattaya, Thailand from December 6 to 7, 2014. It was the 3rd time for Team HKS to participate in this competition since 2012. Mr. Isahais, an ace and Mr. Kurahashi, young promising rider were challenged together this competition again. In King’s Cup, top 4 riders from each country are qualified, and total points of 4 sprint races determine the ranking. Durability was the most important factor to win. (15 riders from 10 countries competed this year.) Without qualifying round, the grid was determined by drawing before the MOTO1. Mr. Isahai of Team HKS started from outside 2nd grid, Mr. Kurahashi started from outside 3rd grid. Both riders started out late; however, they passed other machines, and Mr. Isahai finished in 5th place, Mr. Kurahasi in 6th. The second round MOTO2 went on in the same like MOTO1. Mr. Isahai finished in 5th place, Mr. Kurahasi in 6th.MOTO3 on the second day, cavitation measurement was taken by increasing the boost pressure for fast start. Mr. Isahai finished in 4th place; however, the supercharger belt was damaged during the race, so, Mr. Kurahashi finished in 9th. In the following MOTO4, Mr. Isahai showed excellent start and finished in 3rd place, and Mr. Kurahashi showed great catch-up and finished in 4th place. 2 other riders were disqualified after the race; therefore, the final ranking for Mr. Isahai was 2nd place, and Mr. Kurahashi was 5th place. Team HKS could not achieve our goal being the champion, but, both riders won prizes with better positions. All races for this season were finished. We appreciate for the encouragement from all of you.
