MARCH 2020
2020 ushers in a new decade, and with it a period of growth for Wallingford Community Senior Center.
With new staffing, new programs, new use of our space, and new stories to tell, opportunities abound!
As you may know, some of our staff team is new, or in new roles. I (Ashley), having been with WCSC since
February 2014, most recently as Operations Manager, am honored to have stepped into the role of Executive
Director. Rachel Coller, formerly Program Assistant, is taking over as Operations Coordinator. Victoria
Dzenis stepped down as Program and Volunteer Manager to take care of herself during her ongoing medical
treatment. We thank her for her years of service and wish her all the best! See page 3 for a farewell message
from Victoria. We are thrilled to welcome Mitzi Weiland to the team as our new Program Coordinator—she
is full of incredible ideas and energy! Our amazing Social Worker, Denise Malm, is welcoming to our team a
new Social Work Intern from Arizona State University, Tia Morishige. We are fortunate to have Mark Sinclair
continuing as our Van Coordinator, Isabella Hollibaugh-Hazlett as our Kitchen Coordinator, Randy Miner as
our Dishwasher, and Maggie Jackson as our Custodian. And a special thank you to all of our dedicated,
