Anti-vaccination, Uprisings in the Middle East and Climate change skeptics are just three examples of communities that have been engaged especially with online activity and have had success in reaching their targeted audience.

The “Mommy Warriors” have been successful in holding meeting on why not to vaccinate their children. And when their child is diagnosed with autism, an easy answer gives them comfort in knowing they did nothing wrong, it was all the doctor.

The Uprisings in the Middle East have resulted in the over turning of dictators and large rallies could be easily communicated by simply sending out a tweet of where to be at what time.

The confidence in Climate Change went down greatly in 2009, about the time Facebook started to be very popular. I believe (Now this is simply opinion based) that not only is that due to the economy but also the online communities that were formed to communicate their skepticism about Climate Change to then form a more national agreement that it is all a hoax.
