Responses: COVID-19 – Automated Temperature Checks An EMC Member is discussing implementing automated temperature checks as employees arrive to work. The member would like to know if there are any EMC members who have gone automated for employee temperature checks. If yes - What are you using? What was the approximate cost of the system? and How do you like the system you are using? Please share any information and/or advice on this topic. Any ideas/feedback would be greatly appreciated. The following responses are from Ontario Members: I have attached information on the Automated Temperature Check device we are using. The cost was approximately $10K. It has been working really well so far. We often have 3-5 people entering the building at the same time and all individuals are checked. There is a loud audible signal if the temperature is above the designated level. It will also send an email to the managers to alert them of someone coming in the building with a high temperature. • Copy telemetry or attributes from devices to related assets so you can aggregate telemetry. For example, data from multiple devices can be aggregated in related Asset.

• Create/Update/Clear alarms based on defined conditions.

• Trigger actions based on device life-cycle events. For example, create alerts if Device is Online/Offline.

• Load additional data required for processing. For example, load temperature threshold value for a device that is defined in Device’s Customer or Tenant attribute.

• Trigger REST API calls to external systems.

• Send emails when complex event occurs and use attributes of other entities inside Email Template.

• User preferences are considered during event processing.

• Make RPC calls based on defined condition.

• Integrate with external pipelines like Kafka, Spark, AWS services, etc.

When accuracy matters, IntelliSite delivers. IntelliSite delivers the industry’s most complete, human temperature scanning and monitoring solutions available today.

• IntelliSite’s hBM Complete Solution enables calibration of the hBM system to a pre-set value or “Normal” (N) temperature, marking all human readings within a 0.1Celsius range off this predetermined N.

• IntelliSite’s hBM Kiosk Solutions offers mobility, flexibility and economy for facilities who need it.

IntelliSite’s hBM Kiosk Solution helps:

Identify High Risk Individuals - Real-time identification of human temperatures with IntelliSite’s hBM Solution is intended to help organizations reduce mass exposure to high-risk immune- compromised individuals.

Ensure Accurate Outcomes - IntelliSite’s hBM Solution utilizes a unique AI and proprietary Iot Condition-Based Monitoring platform to greatly reduce false readings. Standard solutions can allow for temperature variances within the camera’s depth of field giving a human temperature read that is often inaccurate, particularly with environmental changes throughout the day.

Cloud-Based Remote Management - IntelliSite combine thermal cameras, and cloud-based management to recognize the changes in individual temperatures to create actionable intelligence that matters at a time when it’s needed most.

Elevated Skin Temperature Screening Thermographic Cameras

Toll-Free: +1 866-200-6690 (U.S. and Canada) | Connect with us: | ca.hikvision.com

Application: Thermal cameras can help detect elevated skin temperature, which may indicate symptoms of a fever.

Potential applications include screening in high-traffic areas such as office buildings, distribution warehouses, manufacturing facilities, public transportation terminals or retail outlets.

Elevated Skin Temperature Detection

Hikvision’s Thermographic Cameras detect humans for elevated skin temperature, and ignore other heat sources in a select area. It can detect and measure up to 30 persons at one time.

Proprietary Temperature Measurement Algorithm

Hikvision has developed in-camera technology that can support ±0,5 °C (0.9° F).

Why Use a Thermal Camera for Elevated Skin Temperature Screening?

Hikvision’s Solutions

Advantages:

1. High Efficiency: Thermal cameras rapidly detect a person’s skin temperature, which is ideal for quickly screening multiple people in high-traffic areas.

2. Safety: Thermal cameras can screen a person’s elevated skin temperature from a distance of 8.2 feet to 29.52 feet (2.5 m to 9 m) away--avoiding unnecessary physical contact between the camera operator and person being screened.

Solution 1 Bullet Camera + Tripod/Bracket + iVMS 4200 + Laptop or NVR + Monitor

Distance: 8.2 feet to 29.52 feet (2.5 m to 9 m)

8.2 feet(2.5 m)

* Camera may be permanently wall-mounted. An optional tripod may be used for temporary setup locations. Tripod adapter mount included.

Hikvision’s Solutions

Solution 2 Handheld Camera + Tripod (no adapter is needed)

Handheld Elevated Skin Temperature Screening Thermographic Camera (DS- 2TP21B 6AVF/W) can achieve accuracy of ±0,5 °C (0.9° F). It also features an audio alarm with a built-in speaker, and touchscreen. This model does not support human body detection.

Hikvision’s Thermographic Cameras are designed for immediate detection and preliminary screening of elevated skin-surface temperature in high-traffic areas. When measuring core body temperature, please verify through the use of clinical measurement devices and/or by consulting a medical professional. Hikvision’s Thermographic Cameras must be used in accordance with local laws and regulations.
