Preparing for Labor and Birth

$100/pair for 4 classes or $30/pair for 1 class

1. Preparing for Labor and Birth: The Stages of Labor This class prepares you for what to expect during labor from the start of your first contraction or when your water breaks until the delivery of your baby. This class will also teach you the differences between true and false labor. This class is perfect to take in the beginning of your third trimester.

2. Preparing for Labor and Birth: Medical Interventions and Inductions This class focuses on the medical interventions used during labor and delivery. This class provides information on medications used in labor including epidurals and other medications for pain relief. This class will also provide information on inductions.

3. Preparing for Labor and Birth: Natural Births This class will provide information on techniques used to provide comfort for a natural birth including doulas, massage, breathing, hydrotherapy and much more!

4. Preparing for Labor and Birth: Cesarean Section and Postpartum This class provides information on C Sections and what to expect during the first 6 weeks after you have your baby. Including how to take care of yourself, manage your family adjustments, keeping the baby safe at home, privacy and safety on social media for your newborn, and post partum depression.

Parenting Basics

$30/pair for 1 class or $50/pair for both

Newborn Care

This class contains information about family adjustments, crying, colic, sleep cycles and newborn care, including feeding, bathing and diapering. Great for first-time parents or others who want to learn about newborns.

Infant safety This class contains information about current safety recommendations for infants, including what to do if an infant chokes, a brief overview of infant CPR, safe use of car seats, baby proofing your home and steps to reduce the risk of SIDS. Great for new parents, grandparents, or others who want to learn about infant safety.

Breastfeeding

$30/pair

This class provides information to better prepare you for a positive breastfeeding experience. Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding and receive information and support. Topics include but are not limited to: achieving proper latch, when to feed, pumping and milk storage.

One Day - Preparing for Labor (Saturday) $100.00/pair

Due to popular demand we are offering a new “One Day” class to cover the information contained in the four Preparing for Labor and Birth classes, in an abbreviated manner. The class will cover the stages of Labor and Birth, Medical Interventions, Inductions, Natural laboring techniques and Cesarean section, as well as postpartum care.
