► Include marketing tips and resources in the newsletter

New Lisbon Schools Superintendent Dennis Birr ...
Welcome back to the 2014-2015 school year. The custodial and maintenance staff did a great job in getting the buildings ready for school to start. We have a number of new staff that are excited to be joining our district. They are bringing us a fresh look with a positive enthusiasm that is un-matched, which when added to our already caring and quality staff, will bring an energy to our buildings that will be contagious to all who enter our schools.
Lots of new initiatives are coming to all Wis-consin schools this fall and New Lisbon is no exception. Educator Effectiveness, Common Core Curriculum and Smarter Balanced As-sessments will all be in place this year. We also will be continuing moving forward with initiatives from Vision 20/20. A new 4th grade teacher was added this year be-cause of our growing enrollment. The school board also approved hiring a new teaching position designed to support students to achieve more in math and reading. Nancy Walker has moved to this RAMS posi-tion. Even with these additions the districts expects a decrease in the total property tax levy.
It is indeed a good day to be part of the New Lisbon school community. We welcomed the following new staff members to our school and community.
Desi Anderson – Kitchen aide Janay Ziebell – HS secretary Deb Buchholz – Business education Tia Svardahl – Special Ed. Gr 7-9 Janie Bever – JH English Language Arts Joan Adank – HS English Language Arts Justin Kevan – Band Cheyanne Reglin - 4th Gr Laura Nokovic – Elementary music Barb Giebel – School nurse Nancy Dehority – CDS classroom Annette Lessard - Aide in CDS classroom Rebecca Allbaugh - Aide in CDS classroom
Moving to New Positions Nancy Walker - RAMS Teacher Peggy Wyss - Elementary Special Ed. Aide Penny Georgeson - Gr 7-9 Special Ed. Aide Leslye Keltner - Gr 1 Teacher Mary Edgerton - Full-Time Cook

New Lisbon Chamber News Vol 2014-Q4 Page 6
Beginning with our 2015-Q1 Chamber News-letter Issue, we invite members to contribute articles with information about their specific industry and business. The entries should con-tain general information and tips pertaining to their areas of expertise, without specifically ad-vertising their company. For example, an auto mechanic may give tips on preparing your vehi-cle for winter, or an investment manager may discuss the differences between a Traditional or Roth IRA. Anyone wishing to promote their business directly may take out an ad anytime (in fact, I’d recommend you submit an article for the same issue your ad runs… it will get more reader attention that way). We’re hoping to feature one or two articles per issue, but if more are interested we’ll see what else could work. Start thinking about your article now!

We would like to thank each of the sponsors big & small for making this happen. If you enjoyed the lighted boat parade, the dueling fireworks set off at Splash Water Front Bar & Grill and at the Juneau County Castle Rock Park, and all the other great activities going on throughout the day at Castle Rock Park, be sure to thank the many businesses below because they made it all possible with their generous donations to the event.
