Promotion Promotion or detention of the student depends on the students’performance, throughout the year.In case a student does not qualify to clear the grade, he/she may bedetained in rare cases.
• Home Assignment instills discipline and forms an important part of a student's
Education, since it reinforces the work covered, in the classroom.
• Pupils must do all the Home Assignments independently. Parents can assist their
wards, by fixing up a daily routine, for completing the HomeAssignments.
• Parents are requested to ensure that their wards complete their home work on time,
before submission.

• Library books will be issued once in a week, by the librarian from Grade IV onwards.• Abook can be issued further for the next week, if there is no demand for it from others.• Books are issued only on appointed days.• Books are to be returned within seven days. If not, a fine will be applicable.• Perfect silence should be maintained in the library, at all times.• Reference materials like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries and Magazines cannot be
borrowed from the library, at any time.• Students must always carry their identity card with them and be prepared to show it, on
request.• Books picked up from the shelves or the cupboard, should be kept back.• Books should be handled with care. Any damage caused, shall be made good by the
concerned pupil.• Books lost or damaged, must be paid for or replaced by the borrower.• Tearing pages and marking on library books, is strictly prohibited
• Pupils shall bring only nutritious Vegetarian food in their Tiffin- Boxes.• Pupils shall also bring along a water bottle and a napkin.• We encourage good eating habits and would like to dissuade you from sending
chocolates, wafers, fried foods and soft / aerated drinks.• Food Day is celebrated, once every month. Parents are requested to send the food items
as mentioned in the almanac, on the prescribed days.
• Pupils may wear decent colorful dress to the school on their birthdays (only applicablefor Nursery to 5th Std)
• Birthday- Celebration in class is not allowed. No cakes will be cut in the class.• Pupils are not allowed to give treats and gifts to other pupils / teachers in the school
premises and in the bus.• Pupils can contribute to the school library, by donating books with his / her name
written on the book.
• The school encourages children to be independent and inculcate a sense of self-discipline & self-governance, by appointing a Student Council from grade IV onwards.
• The students are divided into four houses:• Vivekananda – Blue• Tagore – Green• Raman – Red• Aryabhatta – Yellow
• The Student Council consists of a Head Girl and a Head Boy, who represent all thestudents of the school. They are assisted by the Captains & Vice- Captains of the above4 Houses.
• The Investiture Ceremony is held in the beginning of the academic year, after theFormal Election of the Student Council.

1. Bus Fees should be paid for 12 months in 3 instalments. Payments will be through local
A/C payee Post-dated cheques in favour of New Horizon Public School, with due dates
as mentioned below-
• I Instalment - at the time of filling bus admission form
• II Instalment - (date) 01.08.2019 to 15.08.2019
• III Instalment - (date) 01.12.2019 to 15.12.2019
• Please mention Name, Grade, Division, School UID, G.R. No. & Form No.
behind the cheque.
2. Late fine of Rupees 5 /day will be applicable if not paid, as per the scheduled date.
School shall have the sole discretion to decide upon the penalty/late fee.
3. If fee is not received within 15 days after the due date, then the bus service will be
stopped.
4. No cancellation of school transport service is permissible, in the mid-session.
5. School Bus Fees is subject to change with the hike of fuel charges & taxes. Parents
should accept such increase unconditionally, without demur.
6. Parent need to fill the bus enquiry form and bus form, every year.
7. No student will be permitted to travel at any time by a route, other than the route allotted
to him/her.
8. Requests for changes in bus routes, must be given in writing to the Principal,
mentioning the reason of change. This will be processed according to the availability of
seats, on the route required.
9. School buses will run on the allotted routes, within the located area only.
10. Pupil should wait for the school bus before the schedule time. Bus will not wait for
pupils, beyond the schedule time.
11. School ID card is must while boarding the bus: otherwise the child will not be picked up
from the Pick-Up Stop.
12. In case of loss of ID card, a written application must be submitted to the school in order
to get a new card issued by paying re-issue charges.
13. Students should not lean out or extend body parts or any objects, from the bus windows
or door.
14. It is mandatory to carry the Parent Pass, while collecting the ward from the drop point.
15. If authorised person is not present to collect the student at the drop time, then the student
will be carried back to the school; unless instructions are given in writing by the parents
that the student may come home himself/herself, unaccompanied.
16. In case of any unexpected mechanical fault/traffic jam/heavy rains or any other civic
issues, school bus service can be delayed or might be cancelled.

17. Any injuries or casualties suffered, while availing the school bus facility due to act of
nature (Heavy rains/storm/earthquake etc.) or civic disturbance (Riots/Strikes); the
School or Management shall not be held responsible or liable, under any circumstances.
18. Children should maintain discipline in the bus.
19. Seats allotted by the caretaker should be strictly followed.
20. Any damage caused to the school bus by the pupils will lead to fines, which shall be
appropriately recovered from the Parent/Guardian. It may also lead to the suspension of
bus services, with no refund of bus fees.
21. Reasonable silence must be maintained inside the bus so that the driver enroute, is not
disturbed.
22. Bullying, misconduct or physical fights will not be tolerated. Discourteous behaviour
towards staff on the Bus, should be strictly avoided. This might lead to a permanent ban
on availing bus services, without refund.
23. While the school will take reasonable care in ensuring that the vehicles and the staff are
of good standards, the school undertakes no liability for any untoward accident or
injury that may be sustained because of the use of the school bus facilities.
