Some information on Inter-Country Committees (ICC) ICCs are an initiative of French and German Rotary Clubs after 1939 – 1945 war aiming at:

. Set up international friendship relations

. Promote peace

. Develop fiendship, cultural and professional exchanges

. Strenghten friendship links between Clubs and Districts


What to do for peace ?

- Health care - Build links among nations - Learn to know each other - Learn to live together - Learn to work together

are peace ambassadors :

. An ICC ( Inter-Country Committee) is set up between two or more countries

. The two national sections constitute an ICC

. The charter makes the ICC official


. Each section includs rotarians, Clubs and founding Districts

. ICC sections are structured according to the legal obligations of their countries

. Each rotarian can belong to one or more ICC. The National Coordinator and the ICC President should

be informed

After the december 2004 tsunami in Thailand with the participation of many National Inter-Country Committees and Districts

Health Action Typhus elimination :

a concrete example in Togo for typhus elimination through water sanitation and toilets installation in 22 villages of Moretan.

French section of France-Togo ICC has set up this humanitairian action and today typhus cases have decreased by more than half.
