MEDICAL PRODUCTS
DON’T HAvE TO STICK OUT.
MEET KEvIN.My brother Kevin is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, moya moya and is quadrapalegic. Because of his condition, he is unable to take food by mouth so he uses a feeding pump to receive medicine and formula.
The feeding pump is used while on an IV pole or in a feeding pump bag. The accessories to the feeding pump need to be redesigned for a home environment.

SOMETHING FRIENDLY.

Unlike the current pump bag on the market, a children’s backpack feels familiar to parents and their special
needs kids. By adding a dose of personality to the bag, it becomes fun and familiar.

available room for storage
understanding the jacket pattern
PACK IT UPI figured out the average amount of room within a purse, and broke down the pattern of a jacket to see how much fabric was used.

I began a test run of the pattern and reconstructed the fit for my model. From here, I realized that I had to redo the pocket and the way it was sewn. The zipper had to be sewn inside so that none of the seams would be shown. I also draped the slight puff sleeve on the construction of it.
CONSTRUCTION
-22- COMPACT [email protected]
EASY TO PACKTurn the back pocket inside out and
the jacket scrunches right inside. Because the fabric is pre wrinkled, the texture of the fabric becomes a
style attribute.
