Dear Parents,

Now that winter has finally ar-rived, please remember you can keep up with school cancellations, delays, or emergency dismissals by pressing 2 when you call school (227-1770). Panther Parliament is our Student Government Association
at Fishkill Plains Elementary School. It is run by a teacher
advisor (Miss Scalzo) , as well as seven students from grade 5-
6.
The 5th and 6th grade students ran a fierce, fair, and
creative campaign in their respective classes. Now it’s time to
get to work.
Our representatives for the 2015-2016 school year are Dante
Mandile, Ciara Elliott, Delaney Mohl, Matthew Krauza,
Gaelen Kelly, Erika Huston, and Finn Sobel.
Throughout the school year, we will be having Pan-
ther Pride Days. We will do our best to give one week
notice for our Panther Pride Days. Each Pride Day is de-
signed to promote unity in our school, as well as raise money
for the community.
Our first goal is to raise $420. This is for foam
footballs, jump ropes, kick balls, and a compact ball locker to
hold all the equipment in. Therefore, on each Pride Day, we
ask that the children, who participate, to send in $1 in cash to
contribute to their playground equipment fund.
Our first Pride Day was a huge success!!!!
We raised well over half our goal and anticipate
being able to buy even more playground equip-
ment then expected!
Our next Spirit Day will be January
29th. It will be "Mustache Day". So, Panthers
prepare your best 'staches and mustache gear!
Our PBIS team has been working
on our final initiative! The Bath-
room Expectations Video will be
presented to all grades in addi-
tion to announcing our Lunch-
room and Panther Payment win-
ners in early February.

Students and staff members donated $1.00 to the Panther Parliament in their quest for stor-age for our outside Playground Equipment.
It was a huge success and we all enjoyed
participating in this worthwhile cause and had fun doing it.
Looking forward to the next Panther Parliament School Spirit day—Mustache Day !!!!
