From Bob Banner’s e-book “Laughter for No Reason”: Laughter Yoga is a series of childish playful exercises, indigenous laughter rituals, yogic postures and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) technologies to stimulate laughter. All these exercises get us out of our heads, put a smile on our faces, energize our hearts, is great for sociability (how can one have social hierarchy when people laugh together?) and its great in creating a foundation of Joy to withstand times of adversity... so we have more options and choices on how we respond to various situations. Janice Lamont Being a prayer chaplain has taught me a way of open- hearted listening and how praying out loud for the sake of another deepens my own experience of God. I am so very thankful for my Unity family and for the opportunity to realize the power of prayer together. On Sunday afternoon onJune 16th, Richard Inmanled a workshop titled“The Joy of Singing.”The long-time localmusician, assisted byJoannie and Bill on percussion, led the assembled groupin chants and singing for almost an hour and a half. The crowd of about twenty seemed to really appreciatethe uplifting energy of the music and communalconnection. Sattie and Herb's WeddingOn Sunday afternoon, June 30th, Sattie Blanton wed herlong-time partner Herb Grantham at the Victorian, in aceremony officiated by RevBrian. The bride wasresplendent in her whitegown and beautifully coiffedhair. Gale McNeeley set thetone for the event by singing"Makin' Whoopee" as thebride made her entry. Therewas an inspirational reading of Don Miguel Ruiz' "OnYour Wedding Day." The ceremony was followed by acatered lunch reception. I think that the Unity FiveCities community who attended felt so happy for Sattie, who said her "I Do" even before the question wascompleted.
