The three sessions have been planned to include lectures and group learning activities which will allow anaesthetists to learn about some of the recent changes occurring in the specialty. These include modern anaesthetic machines and ventilators, anaesthetic apps for smart phones and updates in a variety of clinical management issues and essential skills. For trainees, and those consultants involved with registrar training, there will be a presentation about the new ANZCA curriculum and, new for 2012, formal project presentations by selected trainees.
