Our Embroidery Club—generously sponsored by Kingdom sewing, is a group of machine embroidery enthusi-asts that meet on the second Monday of the month, 6:00 p.m., in the Simi store. Led by Melody and Jackie, the goal is to get people to actually use their machines! Our projects are simple ones; we charge a nominal fee—usually $3– to cover our supplies. You will usually do the embroidery at home and then complete the project in class. If you are interested in joining the fun, send an email to Melody at [email protected]. Be sure to put “Hoops and Oops” in the subject line. We would love to have you join us!

Anita At Night - The Perfect Sewing Room

Our last Friday night class was such fun that we decided to do it again! This quarter,

the designs are perfect for all of us embroiderers! The theme is ―The Perfect

Sewing Room‖ and is chock-full of wonderful sewing related projects featuring

sewing designs that we love! We will send out for dinner again and spend the

evening creating a machine embroidered masterpiece.

Attendance is not required to purchase a workshop packet, but all packet must be

paid for by Friday, October 23.

Cameo Club

ADVANCED CLASS

The October class will focus on the Silhouette Soft-

ware. We will forego the usual ―project‖ and devote

our time to exploring the software in more depth

than we have been able to in previous classes. You

will bring your laptop with the software installed, as

usual, but there will be no need to bring your Cameo

or any of its tools. You will need to bring some ma-

terials for note-taking and any questions you may

have about the software.

Monday October 26 6-8 pm

BASIC CLASS

Our final Basic class of the year will be on rhine-

stones. With ―bling‖ the hottest embellishment

around, you will learn to create your own decorated

shirt to dazzle your friends. You will bring a t-shirt or

sweatshirt to embellish in class. NOTE date change

from our usual 4th Monday due to the Thanksgiving

holiday.

Monday November 16 6-8 pm

Fee is $10 if Cameo purchased at Kingdom, $20 if not. Kit fee is $5.

DEB TUCKER TOOLS -- So popular we’re doing it again!

BLOCK OF THE MONTH SAMPLER QUILT SERIES

We’re revisiting our Deb Tucker Sampler Series -- Deb’s tools are designed for

simple, accurate piecing of various block types and we’ll work with several.

Classes will be held on the first Wednesday of each month. When the time is

right, we will explore various border treatments using Deb’s tools. Make as many

blocks as needed for your quilt masterpiece. Supply list and fabric information

available when you sign up.

Class fee is $20 per class and we will make at least two blocks per class.
