Modelli solari e neutrini solari *
• Il sole brucia idrogeno in elio producendo neutrini elettronici:
4p+2e- -> 4He + 2νe + Q Q ≈ 27 MeV
sviluppando ‘modelli solari’.
• Modello solare: “A Standard Solar Model is one model which
reproduces, within uncertainties, the observed properties of the
Sun, by adopting a set of physical and chemical inputs chosen
within the range of their uncertainties”. [Bahcall (1995)]

Dipartimento di FisicaSolar Model 2: results
• To build a Sun one has to solve the equations of stellar equilibrium in order to reproduce Lo, Ro and Z/Xo at the solar age.
• Comparison with exp. data (Borexino + SNO) on 8B and 7Be neutrino fluxes
• Open problem:
the solar photospheric composition

Solar Model 3: analytical approach
• Trying to solve the equation of stellar equilibrium without using the evolutionary code, in order o get:– a better knowledge of the effects of the differents
astrophysical inputs (opacity, cross sections ...) on the solar observables (neutrinos, sound speed profile…)
– analysis of the properties of non standard solar models
• Comparison of these analytical solutions with the predictions of FRANEC are in agreement (differences at the level of few percent)

• Refinement of the analytical procedure • By using both analytical and numerical
procedure we would like :– to study of the effect of some exotic particles
accumulating in the solar core on solar properties

Le principali sorgenti della
radioattività ambientale
Università di Ferrara
Dipartimento di FisicaPerché è importante conoscere
la radioattività ambientale?
• Monitoraggio della radioattività naturale e degli isotopi
radioattivi artificiali
• Studio dei processi geochimici riguardanti isotopi radioattivi
(U, Th e 40K) presenti nelle rocce
