A STEP TOWARDS CLEAN NATION.

What Is Clean India ? Clean INDIA Mission is PM Narendra Modi's pet project to that seeks to create a 'Clean India'. Mr. Modi had urged citizens, government institutions to dedicate 100 hoursevery year towards cleanliness. The Government has decided to invoke Mahatma Gandhi and rope in religious leaders from all faiths to drive the Mission. As perestimates prepared by the Ministries of Urban Development and Rural Development, Rs. 2 lakh crore will be spent on the Mission over the next five years.

WHY CLEAN INDIA CAMPAIGN ?Total Budget Rs 60,000cr per Year.

68% of rural households have no toilets.

78% sewage dumped in rivers.

6000 tonnes of plastic waste littered daily.

68.8mn tonnes of waste per year.

597mn (approx. 600mn) defecating in open.

Lack of sanitation costing India 6.4% GDP.

Good sanitation could boost annual per capita income by Rs 6000 a year.

Yet we spend 260 times more on food than sanitation.

Initiated on 2nd October 2014 , A Five Year Plan. Creating awareness over 4041 statutory towns. 3 million government employees. Cost over $9.4 billion. Mission to create new clean India.14 big companies pledged to construct 3195 toilets. Every single citizen contributed . Promise to give 100 hours a year. Eradication of manual scavenging. Elimination of open defecation. Construction of over 86871 toilets at public places. Providing bio toilets facility in more than 50 trains.

Cleanliness Is GodlinessIf We Can Reach Mars With Minimal Expenditure ,Why Cant We Keep Our Streets and Colonies Clean.

According to who an average of 6500 per person was lost in india due to lack of cleanliness and hygiene. Mission started to for safeguard poor health, and contribution to nations economy.

If everyone sweeps their own door step, their own neighbourhoods, the world will be a clean, pure and healthy place for life to prosper.

Construction Of ToiletsConstruction of toilets is one aspect of the Swachh Bharat programme. The programme aims to make India "open defecation free" by 2019. It plans to construct 12 crore toilets in rural India by October 2019, at a projected cost of 1.96 lakh crore (US$30 billion).

He urge every one of us should devote at least hundred hours every year, that is two hours every week towards cleanliness. We cant let India remain unclean any longer. On 2nd October he himself set out with a broom and contribute towards this pious task. Let us walk shoulder to shoulder in our quest to create a Clean India!
