Per-second visibility into exceptionally granular and precise performance measurements are complemented by lossless packet capture and time-stamping to address QoS and compliance applications within a single, integrated solution. The microsecond-precision accuracy, and millisecond sampling speed delivered by Accedian’s patented dual-plane, FPGA packet processing architecture allow the FSX to effortlessly filter, capture, meter and time-stamp traffic on a per-flow basis 1 in real-time. Accedian’s unique FlowMETER™ technology detects micro-bursts at all packet sizes for insight into highly-variable TCP traffic underpinning time-sensitive business processes, while FlowBROKER™ provides full trade flow visibility for compliance or application analytics. Supporting both GbE and 10 GbE interfaces in an out-of-line connectivity mode, the FSX seamlessly integrates into any network with minimal effort and without impacting traffic. The FSX can be deployed cost effectively at any point in the trade flow where performance assurance or compliance monitoring is required, making it a simple, effective method to instrument existing networks from end-to-end. Key Applications Emerging regulations governing the need to be able to prove fairness in financial trades (MiFID 2 (Europe), and Dodd/Frank (US)) require the ability to time-stamp and record all trade packets, at all decision point along the trade flow path. The FSX can be deployed as part of a compliance overlay to existing networks without affecting trade execution performance. Micro-burst reporting and gap detection and industry-leading per-flow network quality of service (QoS) monitoring, along with SLA reporting, provide detailed metrics to assure even the most demanding service requirements.
