Netball is a non contact sport. It contains seven players in each team. In netball there are certain positions and areas that your allowed to go in if you enter and area that you are not required to go in the other team gets rewarded with the ball this is called offside.

In netball there is an umpire that pulls up different types of things.

Stepping- taking two or more steps after getting the ball

Contact- hitting or making any type of contact with the opposition

Obstruction- if you are closer then 3 feet before you put your arms up its called obstruction.

Drag- drag happens when you catch the ball an then you drag your foot behind you

Play ball- when you throw the ball and catch it your self that is play ball and then the ball is given to the other team.

* Centre goes in the centre third, the goal third and the other goal third but can not go in the rings. There is a circle in the middle of the centre third and each time a team scores a goal the centres take in turn of having the centre.* Wing attack goes in the goal third that has the shooting end with the goal attack and the goal shooter also it can go in the centre third they have this position so that the goal attack and the centre can throw the ball to one another to get it into the goal ring.* Wing defence goes in the other teams goal third and the centre third. Wing defence defends the wing attack on the other team and defends them with the goal defence and the goal keeper but the wing defence can only go on the outside of the goal ring.

Goal shooter is a position that also shoots goals with the goal attack. The goal shooter is only aloud in the goal third.

Goal attack is a position that shoots goals for the team it is only allowed to go into the goal third and goal ring and also into the centre third.

Goal shooter & Goal Attack

Goal keeper is only aloud in the goal third. They defend the goal shooter trying not to let the shooter get any goals in.

Goal defence works with the goal keeper but goes in the centre third and the goal third. Goal defence has to defend the shooters trying not to let them getting the ball.
