RELEASE DATE: • Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. (no exceptions)
• The fair will not be responsible for articles left after 4:00
p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2019. There will be a Storage Fee on
ALL entries left after the 3rd week of September. The charge will
be $20 per week.
CASH PREMIUMS: will be available on Park Street-Payout Window
(west of the main gate) • Monday – Saturday, September 2 – 7, 2019
from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. • Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. • Monday, September 9, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to
7:00 p.m. • After September 10, 2019 awards will be given out only
during regular office hours and
may be picked up at the E.I.S.F. Main Office, hours are 8:30
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. E.I.S.F.
Main Office will also be closed on September 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
and will be closed on September 16, 2019 all day to observe Labor
Day Holiday for employees. Premiums not claimed by September 30,
2019 will be considered a donation and will revert back to the
Fair’s general fund.
SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: A. Articles winning prizes at the
Eastern Idaho State Fair in previous years are NOT eligible for
entry again. B. Only one article in a class will be accepted
from any one person. C. Every article entered must be entirely the
work of the exhibitor except quilts and pictures.
Quilts made by five (5) or less can be entered under one name
with credit given where appropriate. Pictures can be matted by a
second person.
D. Doilies or other articles of needlework should NOT be mounted
on cardboard or other material.
E. If no division is provided for an article, please list it
under NOT SPECIFIED and it will be judged according to its merits.
If a division is provided it may NOT be placed under “not
specified”. If placed there, it will not be judged.
F. Articles entered must be finished and completed. G. Pictures
must be framed or mounted and suitable for hanging on pegboard. H.
Items submitted by an exhibitor may be placed in a more suitable
class or department by the
superintendent or a judge. I. No entry will be accepted unless a
category for it exists and is listed in the premium book. J. No
premium will be paid if no competition exists – a competition
consists of two (2) or
more entries in a single department class. K. Superintendent has
the right to move an entry into a different class if the
original
entered class will not have enough entries for a competition to
exist. L. Superintendent will be the only person authorized to
change class entries. M. Awards will be made according to the
merits of the entry. If the judge decides an entry is not
worthy of 1st place, the judge may disqualify the entry or the
judge can choose to award 2nd place, 3rd place, or 4th place
premiums, this is at the judge’s discretion.
N. If there is no competition for an entry, but the judge still
deems that the entry would have been worthy of a blue ribbon it can
be still be considered for any Department Special Awards.
O. Only one of each placing in any one class will be awarded,
unless otherwise specified in Department Special Rules.
