AfterDisconnectingtheSMPSfromthe220VACline,andifyouneedtomakesomemodificationstothePCB,*YOUMUST*DischargetheMainsCapacitors,usingthe
200WBulb,WhileleavingthoseCapacitorschargedmeansanastysurpriseforyouin
theminuteyoutouchthem.TheDCvoltageintothosecapacitorsisenoughtoKILL
YOUif
you
touch
them.
AlsodischargetheOutputcapacitorsusingsamemethod. TryingtoDischargetheInputCapacitorsusinganymetaltoolwillcauseahugespark,withloudsound,donttrythisEVER.ONLYUsetheLAMPtodischarge.
WhendoingthefirsttestsintoyourSMPStrytostayawayfromyourBoard,Incaseoffailure,

part
may
explode,
Sparks
may
occur,
and

probetotesttheSMPS*WHILEITSCONNECTEDTOTHE220VACLINE*. Sotryto
anticipate
the
consequences.
Oscilloscopeconnectionto220VAC,inmycase,IdontconnectmyoscilloscopetotheGND,andthingsaregoingjustfineinmycase.YoucanuseanIsolation
transformerasanothersolution.BUTconnectingscopewithGNDpinconnected
whileNOTusingIsolationtransformer,hmmmmmIdontknowwhatmay

I am writing these warning, because I had
blown many Mosfets & IGBTs during my SMPS
research and development, Even I had fire
coming out from one IGBT once, Fireworks youcan say, The SMPS dont joke when they blew.
So thats it.
On the other hand, Following the procedures, it
will guide you to a working SMPS.
