As the Safe & Civil Schools senior author and lead trainer, he has produced numerous articles dealing with the issues of discipline & classroom management, including CHAMPS, Discipline in the Secondary Classroom and the Teacher’s Encyclopedia of Behavior Management. Each year he presents to over 30,000 teachers and administrators throughout the United States and Canada.

John Kelly, Ph.D., NCSPNASP President

Dr. John Kelly is a National Certified School Psychologist in the Commack School District and an Adjunct Professor of School

Psychology at St. John’s University. He has studied, published and presented at numerous national and international conferences on topics such as mental and behavioral health services for children,

advocacy training for school psychologists, violence/bullying prevention and suicide awareness.

Karen Haase, J.D.Special Education LawyerKaren Haase is a principal in the law firm of KSB School Law, where she focuses her practice exclusively on representing public school districts and related entities. She holds degrees from Hastings College, Kansas State University and the University of Nebraska College of Law.
