Here at GolfTEC there is no off-season but we are glad to see we can now take our games outside and watch you compete in the 2015 NJGT Tournament Season. We had a great time working with many of you over the winter months and look
forward to seeing you take what you have learned on tour. While expectations for the season are high and possibilities limitless it is important to remember a couple of things as you get started this spring:
Stretch and Start Off Slow Our bodies take a while to warm up at the beginning of each season so make sure to dedicate extra time to stretching and warming up with shorter shots. The urge is to hit a lot of balls quickly but your golf game and body will thank you.
Be Realistic During your first few rounds you will be a little rusty and that is okay. Do not get frustrated as that will make the process worse. Take notes on the course to which areas you need to work on so come golf season you are in mid-season form.
Get Some Help Visit our PGA Professionals and GolfTEC Certified Instructors for a private lesson or clinic to make sure you start off the season with the proper fundamentals. You will also receive guidance so you can focus your early season practice seasons.
We will once again be presenting the GolfTEC Premier Series this summer at four of the state’s top private facilities. To learn more about GolfTEC of Omaha please CLICK HERE

Power is important in golf and I know all of us strive to hit the ball further. For that reason we are going to start of the PGA Sports Academy Fitness Tips with some exercises for more power and in turn more distance. It is important to remember that gaining “golf power” is more than just lifting the big weights. It is important to work on increasing strength as well as flexibility for max distance. Below are a few exercises you can do at home or the gym to gain those extra yards:

You are going to look crazy doing this, however it is very
effective for your hand speed. Hold out your hand
shoulder height. Open and close your hand as quick as
possible for 30 seconds – 1 minute. Take a short break
