The syllabus contains required textbook information. You should accept each course on day 1 (Monday) of the first week You will be dropped if course is not accepted by day 7 (Sunday) ATTENDANCE You earn course attendance by submitting assignments You must be in attendance at least once every 28 days or you will be dismissed The maximum break between courses is 3 weeks If you complete a course early, your last date of attendance applies as the course end date, rather than the scheduled end date Leave of Absence (LOA) Up to 90 days per LOA, limit 2 in Master’s programs, limit 3 in Doctoral programs. You may not take consecutive LOA’s UPLOADING ASSIGNMENTS You must use the NCU File Name Format detailed in the syllabus Bulk uploading multiple assignments is not permitted. Unless you have instructor permission, you may not submit an assignment until the prior assignment has been graded Assignments more than 7 days late will not be accepted Assignments submitted after the course end date will not be accepted COMPUTER & INTERNET ACCESS Students are responsible for having a working computer and access to the internet Computer failure or loss of internet connectivity is not an acceptable excuse for late work LEAVING A COURSE You have 7 days to drop a course You have until Sunday, 11:59pm Arizona time during the first week of the course to drop. Dropped courses are not charged tuition. A $100 drop fee will be assessed if a course is not rescheduled to start within 14 days. You can email your Academic Advisor anytime prior to the drop deadline to request a drop. Once you are beyond the 7 day drop period, you are consid- ered fully vested in the course and financially responsible for the course tuition. You have 40 days from the course start date to withdraw from an 8 week course You have 60 days from the course start date to withdraw from a 12 week course If you withdraw from a course, you will be required to pay to retake the course If you remain in a course beyond the withdrawal period, you will receive a grade NCU does not grant extensions or incomplete grades Please consult the NCU Course Catalog for complete policy details. BEGINNING A COURSE• You can view the syllabus for any scheduled course 21 days prior to the course start date
