D. Young, I have seen a steady spiritual maturing and a growing sense of urgency to fulfill the call of God upon his life as a missionary. I first got to know him at the church where I was the Associate Pastor and he a member. is association was broadened and deepened as he attended the Norris Bible Baptist Seminary where I was also an instructor. Bro. Young thoroughly researched the mission field far and wide, and in his prayerful considerations, his focus kept coming back to the nation of Honduras. A country he has visited twice. He has indeed done the necessary legwork to verify his claim of a God-given call to that nation. His wife Vanessa accompanied him on his first survey trip to Honduras, and has also surrendered to serve there alongside him. rough the years, J.D. has exemplified a teachable spirit, a continual desire to study and know the Bible and the God of the Bible, as well as a devotion to “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Accordingly, he is knowledgeable of, and committed to, the Baptist distinctions. He was a very good student at NBBS, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies with a major in Bible and a minor in missions. J.D. is sincere, kind, intelligent, and single-minded in his pursuit of the ministry. Vanessa is also very bright and capable, and a resourceful wife and loving mother – a true helpmeet. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has taken many seminary courses at NBBS. I hope you will seriously consider partnering with J.D. and Vanessa Young and their sending church, the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Texas, to reach the people of Honduras with the Gospel, to establish indigenous churches, and to train preachers. Sincerely, Jonathan J. Stewart Jonathan J. Stewart NBBS President
