FONSI Signed RADM Patrick Lorge on 29 September 2014The Bravo-16 Environmental Assessment analyzed providing additional training activities and range activities within Training Range Bravo-16 (B-16), used by Naval Special Warfare Command.
� Closing two areas of Navy withdrawn land to public access and installing a fence to increase the safety of military personnel and the public and provide a buffer zone around these areas;
� Establishing a free maneuver area in the Southwest and Northwest areas of the Range for vehicle training;
� Developing a landing zone for C-130 aircraft;
� Develop a launch and recovery area for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS);
� Install visual cueing items, including relocatable habitat units, for more realistic training;
� Re-routing the primary access road to Training Range Bravo-16(B-16) off Sand Canyon Road along the north-south run-in line;
� Installation of a new range tower; and,
� Installation rail-mounted moving targets.
