In August 2005, we established our new Technology Center.
The state of the art facility was designed and constructed to accommodate the unique
Requirements of the breakthrough technology. Our Technology Center has been actively
conducting high-tech research and development.

The Center daily tackles new technology challenges such as the research and
development of freeform optical elements with nano-level precision, as well as
the latest in other optical technology development.

History
Apr. 1947 Tetsuzo Natsume, honorary chairman, founded plating company, Iida Works, Ltd.
Mar. 1956 Iida Works changed company name to Natsume Optical Works.
Oct. 1967 NOW founded Tokyo Sales Office for metropolitan area.
May 1998 NOC established Tack Coat Corporation through joint investment with Sigma Koki.
Sep. 1999 Osaka Sales Branch was founded. The West Plant1 was built.
Dec. 2002 NOC established FLC through joint investment with three companies.
Jul. 2005 NOC founded new Technology Center.
Dec. 2005 NOC received ISO-9001: 2000
Jan. 2006 NOC received ISO-14001: 2004
Apr. 2009 Yoshiharu Natsume was designated as President.
Tadahisa Miyashita was appointed as Chairman.
