Long, long time ago in the town of

Nazareth, an angel appeared to avirgin woman named Mary.

Mary was about to bemarried to a carpenter namedJoseph.

But when Joseph

knew that Mary ispregnant, hewanted to leaveMary.

But an angelconvincedhim to marry

Mary.

´Hail, youwho arehighly

´You shallbring forth ason and shallcall his name

Jesus.µ

´How shallthis be,

seeing thatI have nohusband?µ

´Fear not, Mary.He shall be great

During the ninth monthof Mary·s pregnancy,

they traveled togetherto Bethlehem.

They searched for an inn wherethey can stay, but there was noinn available for them

Later, a goodinnkeeper offered

them a stable.

At last, Mary gavebirth to her son,Jesus.

She wrapped Him in swaddlingclothes and laid Him in a mangerfull of hay.

On the otherhand, severalshepherdssaw a brightnew shining

star.

Then angelsappeared to

them.

´You must visitthe Son of Godwho was born in

a stable.µ

When they reached the stable, they were filled with joyand worshipped Him.

Far from the stable,three wise men sawthe same shining star.

They believed that this starwas leading them to asignificant place where the

Messiah was born«

«so they decided tofollow the star.

When King Herod heard thesethings, he called the wise menand asked them about the time

the star appeared«

´Go andsearch

carefully forthe youngchild.µ

´When youfind him,

bring me wordthat I maycome and

worship himalso.µ

«and he sent them back

to Bethlehem.

When they saw Jesus, Kingof Kings, they worshippedHim by giving gifts of gold,frankincense and myrrh.

And being warned by God in adream that they should not returnto King Herod, they departed and

returned to their own country byanother way.

Joseph had a dream that he willtake the young child and the

mother and flee into Egypt for KingHerod will seek the child todestroy Him.

They went quietly to

hide in faraway Egyptfor the safety ofbaby Jesus.

´We must getout of herebefore KingHerod will

destroy baby

Jesus.µ
