The National Vendor Development Programme
will provide an opportunity to Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises in the Information and
Communication Sector to expand market base
and explore new marketing avenues in Public
Sector Enterprises, Govt. Departments and
Large Scale Units.
It’s an opportunity for manufacturing MSEs,
Software Developers, Training Institutions,
Business Development Service Providers,
Consultancy firms and potential entrepreneurs to
exhibit their abilities and competencies with respect
to their prime product range and services offered. At
the same time, Public Sector Undertakings like
HPCL, BPCL, BHEL, BSNL, MTNL, Defence
Establishments and Railways and reputed banks
and financial institutions will be displaying their
requirement and would identify competent vendors
in the information and communication technology
sector which is driven by the pool of highly qualified
and competent young professionals.
National Vendor Development Programme would

HP, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Zenith,
Microsoft etc. exhibiting wide range of their products
and services.
ABOUT MSME-DI, MUMBAI
MSME–Development Institute, Mumbai is the field

(MSME), New Delhi located in the State Capital
Mumbai, having its jurisdiction over 23 districts of
Maharashtra.
MSME–DI, Mumbai prominently monitor the
implementation of policies of Ministry of MSME,
Govt. of India and various schemes and initiatives
introduced in recent past namely Capacity Building,
Technology Upgradation, Quality Management
Standards, Quality Technology Tools, Marketing
Development Assistance in the form of a flagship

Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) and Micro
Smal l Enterpr ises Cluster Development
Programme (MSE-CDP). These schemes &
initiatives have been taken up to address issues and
concerns of the Micro and Small Enterprises.
With the announcement of Public Procurement
Policy 2012, the Institute is playing vital role in
providing opportunities to both PSUs/Govt.
Departments and Micro & Small Enterprises to
exchange business opportunities. The events
like NVDP facilitate PSUs/Govt. Departments to
identify capable MSEs and meet mandatory
provisions in the policy of 20% procurement from
MSEs.
MSME – DI, Mumbai has been organizing State
Level Vendor Development Programmes in
various districts of Maharashtra wherein Public
Sector Undertakings & Govt. Departments
express their requirements and publicize their
vendor registrat ion procedure to the
participating MSEs.
Director of this Institute has been representing
as Member in State Level Bankers’ Committee
and Empowered Committee of Reserve Bank of
India for MSME’. It also propagates schemes
like Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme for
Technology Upgradation and Credit Guarantee
Trust for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in
the forums of Industries Associations/Chamber
of Commerce/Federations.
MSME – DI, Mumbai is also engaged in
collection and compilation of Statistical and
Economic information pertaining to the Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises and also
organizes Skill Development Programmes so as
to motivate educated unemployed youths to go
for self-employment and generate
employment by upgrading their skills to enhance
employability prospects.
