The Operations Community
To Build, maintain, and operate a transportation system that is safe, reliable and secure.
Operations Community Objective
Operations Community Challenges Urban Congestion is reducing the quality of life
and our economic vitality.
Rural Crashes are a significant public health problem. Unexpected delays have a big impact (fog, ice, work zones).
Ports and Border Delays are reducing our global competitiveness.
Operating the system smartly and efficiently can help address each of these challenges.
Operations Community Responsibility
Building a 21st century operations culture that effectively uses 21st century technologies.
