Please find below the tentative lists of qualified/eligible candidates in respect of all the five ME Regular Programmes. The

The successful candidates upon admission will be required to deposit the requisite fee on 17.07.2017 (and not later than
19.07.2017 upto 3.00 PM) and deposit all Original Documents (Degree certificates, DMCs, Experience certificates, Xth
certificate, SC/ST/OBC certificates, migration certificate etc.) for onward submission to Panjab University, Chandigarh (for
verification), as notified in our Institute website/prospectus, failing which the seats will be offered to the next candidates as
per next qualifying Waiting list prepared on the day of counselling. Candidates failing to report (in person) for counseling
on Monday, 17th
July, 2017 will forfeit the claim for admission. As notified, the classes will commence from 17th July,
2017. Vacant seats if any, for waitlisting candidates (as well as candidates whose applications were received late) will be
considered on second counseling for which information will be uploaded in the institute website.
For Kind Attention of Candidates under OBC category
Candidates who have applied for seeking admission to ME Regular Programmes under OBC category are required to
furnish affidavit from Executive Magistrate at the time of counseling that he/she belongs to OBC category (For an updated
list of state-wise OBCs eligible for availing the benefit of reservation, please see the list maintained by NCBC at its website:
http://ncbc.nic.in/backward-classes/index.html) and the he/she does not belong to creamy layer (as per website
http://ncbc.nic.in/html/creamylayer.html as well as the clarifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training on
the definition of creamy layer & income criteria at http://persmin.gov.in/writeData/WMS/ScanDocument/36033-5-2004-
01April 2005.htm.)
As per directions received from MHRD, the institute is implementing CEI Act, 2006, i.e., Policy of Reservation of 27% seat
for the OBCs. However, the number of seats for the General Category will remain the same.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Industrial Engg./Automobile Engg. from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast
60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.
Total number of seats in the ME CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY & MGT are 28 (subject to approval by AICTE, New Delhi on account of implementation of 27% total OBC quota, out of which 22 seats are for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College teachers, Officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education and 06 seats are for full time sponsored working professional from Industry/other organizations including universities.
Reservation 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% (including a sub-quota of 4.5% for socially &
educationally backward classes of citizens belonging to minorities). Out of 22 seats for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College teachers, Officials of
Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, 03 seats are reserved for SC, 01 seat for ST, 01 seat for disabled candidates, 06 seats for OBC category and 11
seats for general category teacher candidates. Out of 06 seats for full time sponsored working professional from Industry/other organizations including universities,
01 seat is reserved for SC, 01 seat for ST, 01 seat for OBC and 03 seats for general category candidates.

(ii) Experience
One score for each number of completed years of total experience on the last day of receiving application gained after obtaining minimum entry qualification subject to a maximum of ten.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent OR its
equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research
organization.
Total number of seats in the ME Instrumentation & Control Regular Programme are 26 (subject to approval by AICTE, New Delhi on account of implementation of 27% total OBC quota), out of which 20 seats are for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College teachers, Officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education and 06 seats are for general candidates/working professional from Industry/other organizations including universities. GATE qualified general candidates will be given preference for the programme.
Reservation 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% for OBC candidates (as per directions of MHRD). Out
of 20 seats for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College teachers, Officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, 03 seats are reserved for

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent OR its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate

Total number of seats in the ME Electronics & Communication Engineering Regular Programme are 19 (subject to approval by AICTE, New Delhi on account of implementation of 27% total OBC quota), out of which 11 seats are for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College teachers, Officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, and 08 seats are for general candidates/working professional from Industry/other organizations including universities. GATE qualified general candidates will be given preference for the programme.
