Heartfelt Connections: Grooming
As we continue to expand our Heart Felt Connections program on Memory Way I wanted todraw attention to some of the simpler processes of the program that might be over looked ormissed as a "connection." How many of us take for granted going to the Salon or BeautyShop on a regular basis, and how good it makes us feel after the stylist preforms their magic! Feeling good and feeling pretty still continue to be important to those living with dementia, but they have forgotten the process. They need to be reminded of their appointments...encour‐aged to attend...convince them to sit long enough for the stylist to finish their hair. The spe‐cially trained and loving care givers on Memory Way help make our residents feel beautifulon a weekly basis!
