FATEHA

The House offered Fateha for the departed souls of,-

i) Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, MNA; ii) Scores of Kashmiri people martyred in Occupied Kashmir; iii) Dozens of Palestinians martyred by Israeli forces airstrikes; iv) Madrassa students martyred in Kunduz Afghanistan; v) Seven people died in Diamer in land-sliding; vi) eleven people perished in boiler explosion in Rohri (Sukkar); vii) Six people including five children killed when a boat capsized in Nawabshah; viii) Three police personnel martyred in Dera Ismail Khan; ix) A soldier of Pak Army martyred in counterterrorism operation; x) Target killing of four Christians in Quetta; xi) Six coalmine labourers died of suffocation in Kalat; and xii) Atiq Baig killed in accident with US diplomat’s vehicle in Islamabad.

SUSPENSION MOTION

Syed Naveed Qamar, MNA moved the following motion, which was adopted by the National Assembly:-

That under rule 288 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007 that the requirements of rules 55 and 57 of the said Rules in respect of Ballot of Private Members’ Resolutions and notice of resolution for today may be suspended in order to take up a resolution.”

CONDOLENCE RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Shazia Marri, MNA moved the following resolution, which was unanimously passed by the National Assembly:-

“This House is deeply grieved over the demise of veteran lawmaker, committed political worker

and colleague Muhammad Ayaz Soomro;

recognises his unmatched services for the restoration and sustenance of democracy in Pakistan;

pays tribute to his decades of sacrifices, given during his political struggle against tyrannical

dictatorships;

extends deepest sympathies to his family, loved ones, his constituents and to the scores across

Pakistan who mourn his irreparable loss.”
