V. In the laboratory of autonomous energy of Kharkiv Aviation Institute are developed method and a device that allow a full diagnosis result of electrochemical batteries without interfering with their work in a short time. Device based on pulse diagnostic method of electrochemical batteries. The essence of this method (developed in Kharkiv Aviation Institute) consists on a special impact the battery sequence current pulse, measurement and analysis of the response voltage and determining the basic parameters of the battery by means of special mathematical models. The device allows you without a charge-discharge cycles, without interfering with the logic of the electrochemical battery life and using some test parameters to determine its basic parameters (such as the charging performance (Fig. 2), the discharge characteristic (Fig. 3), the current-voltage characteristic , the actual capacity, the charged, the internal resistance, and others.) for a limited time. 1.2 1.5 1.7 2.0 0 0.25 0.5 0.75 1 0.8 1.0 1.2 1.4 0 0.25 0.5 0.75 1 Fig.2 - The charging characteristics of a nickel- cadmium electrochemical batteries Fig.3 - The discharge characteristics of the nickel- cadmium electrochemical batteries The device allows to diagnose as the electrochemical batteries of different electrochemical systems (silver-zinc, nickel-cadmium, nickel metal hydride, lithium ion, lithium polymer, nickel-hydrogen and a lead-acid). This device can be used for fast (during 20 ... 30 minutes) determination the state of the electrochemical batteries used in aviation, aerospace, rocket, and therefore, in the mining industry; on land, water and rail transport and in other areas where the use of electrochemical batteries.
