My BackgroundI received my high school diploma from
Ironwood Ridge High School.I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary
Education from the University of Arizona.
My Teaching ExperiencesI am thrilled to spend my fourth year of
teaching as a Wilson Wrangler.This will also be my fourth year in the
Amphitheater School District.Two summers ago I had the opportunity to
spend two and a half weeks in the province of Zambales in the Philippines at the Aeta Children’s Home, teaching, playing, and learning with the native people of the Philippines.

JournalsWriting is integrated into the reading programDaily Oral Language
Practices grammar rules, conventions, and parts of speech.
SpellingEmphasis: Correct spelling in daily writing.Students will be tested every Friday on their spelling
words. Spelling City is a great website to help students learn the

HomeworkHomework is posted daily on my webpage.
Math– expect 20 minutes Monday-Thursday.
Science and SS – occasional homework– incomplete class work is homework. Expect projects.
Language Arts – Spelling homework nightly – tests on Friday. Roots tests on Thursday.
Reading – Read 20-30 minutes each night. Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary tests on Friday.

Field TripsWe have lots of fun field trips planned for this
year!Our two biggest field trips will be to Phoenix
and Bisbee/Tombstone.Please consider making your tax credit
donation to our 4th grade.
Tax CreditYou simply write a check for $200 ($400 if
married and filing jointly) and send it to our school. You will receive a receipt to turn in at the time of filing your taxes.
Funds are designated to supplies are used to do just that. Other funds are used to scholarship students for field trips. Sometimes funds are put directly into an account for a teacher or subject; those funds are then used to purchase supplies for specific classroom needs.
