These competencies helps the students develop and achieve the knowledge,
skills and attitude in understanding electrical laws, theories, principles and its
application to devices, materials and circuits.
The knowledge, skills and attitude obtained by the students from the training
could help them to have a TESDA National Certificate Level II in Electrical Installation
and Maintenance National Certificate Level II and even in pursuing Electrical
Technology and/or Electrical Engineering Course after High School.
The development and the study of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance
NC II are continuing process. The electrical industry constantly introduces new andimproved technology on devices and materials, which in turn often lead to changes in
installation and maintenance techniques.
Furthermore, local electrical codes and national electrical codes/ which is the
basis of electrical installation and maintenance undergo periodic revisions to upgrade
safety and quality in electrical installations.
II. Goals
1. Acquire knowledge, skills and attitude of the components of the course/subject
2. Develop the knowledge, skills and attitude in Electrical Installation and
Maintenance
3. Apply the correct attitude and behavior in the entrepreneurial field of expertise
4. Develop the knowledge, skills and attitude in Industrial Technology Education
III. Body
For this school year, Electrical Installation and Maintenance of Industrial Artshad few co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The highlights of the school year
is more on the assessment and preparation of the department for Senior High School
for school year 2016-2017.
This school year 2015-2016 is challenging school year since this is the school
year before the opening of the senior high school program for the whole country.
It is indeed a challenging year since Dalipuga National High School is offering
the Technical-Vocational Livelihood Track in Home Economics Strand and Industrial
Arts Strand.
The Home Economics Strand has the following specializations to offera.Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC II
For Industrial Arts Strand, it is offering Electrical Installation and Maintenance
(EIM) NC II.
There were many preparations/activities were done for the Senior High School
program offerings for it to be ready in terms of the facilities, teachers and the
students. From data gathering of the school facilities and the students in terms of the
readiness of TLE department and the school as a whole.
Aside from the senior high school TVL offerings, the school and TLE
department applied for an accreditation from Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA) to offer an accredited TVET programs.Since the TVL track offerings are in line with the TESDA Training Regulations,
Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II
applied for accreditation of the program offering. With the help, guidance and
assistance of the School Principal, Dr. Nila E. Villaver and TLE Department, the school
is now accredited to offer Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for
Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II as stated in the Certificate of TVET
Program Registration. The Bread and Pastry is pending since TLE department don’t
have a certified TVET Trainer yet.
Prior to that, the school principal designate a/an Unified TVET Program andRegistration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS) coordinator. The coordinator is/was
the one who facilitated, coordinated and prepared the documents for the programs.
When the documents and facilities are ready, TESDA personnel and experts
conducted an ocular visit and inspection last February 2016. The positive result of the
inspection led to the release of Certificate of TVET Program Registration (CTPR) #
201610052057.
In addition, the trainers/teachers of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC
II are certified TVET Trainers and an Accredited Competency Assessors for Electrical
Installation and Maintenance NC II. Thus, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II of Industrial Arts Strand of
TLE department is Senior High School ready and TESDA Certified.
