Introduction

It is a speaking activity for learners aged 6-7 (grade 1).

It is about the names of animals . It is very important to teach the

children the names of animals .

The purpose of this speaking activity is to make the children be able to distinguishbetween the names of animals and to help the children to speak in the classroom .

The purpose of the activity

This activity will help children in many ways:

Children will be able to differentiate between the names of animals. It helps the children to understand the names of animalseasily .Children will not have any problem when they go to zoo.Children will be able to say the names of animals in appropriate way .

The benefits of the activity:

First, I will put many pictures of animals. Second, I will ask the children (who went to the zoo before ) then, they will answer (I am) so, I will ask the children who say (me) and I ask them which animal did you see that his picture on the board. When the students chose picture , I will tell the whole class the name of that animal and I will ask them to repeat the name of the animal with me many times. Then , I will help them to say the name of the animal and match it with the correct picture. After that , I will put some pictures of the animals and I will ask them to say the name of the animal and put it under the correct picture.
