Nalco’s Innovation Antiscalant for Thermal Desalination Plants
• Most MSF plants operate between a TBT of 95 to 115 degC
• Industry standard antiscalant dosing on MSF plants is 1.5 - 2.5 ppm
• 3-phase pilot MSF trial with Nalco’s Innovation Antiscalant conducted at SWDRI in Saudi Arabia
• Successfully tested at various operating conditions - SWDRI Certificates
• Most aggressive condition was successfully tested at a TBT of 119 degC, CR of 1.9 and down to a dosage of 0.8 ppm
• Significant opportunities for the industry;
- Reduce TCO using Nalco’s 3DTfTD unit to safely optimise PC-2040T antiscalant dose by UP TO 50%
- Increase production at higher TBT operation
