During the St Chadʼs GAP process, feedback from the church family led the PCC to think about how to help our various congregations connect and build community/relationship better. This July we will be having our first ʻConnect in summerʼ event. We hope that as many of the church family will come along to Lyme Park on 17 th July from 1pm. We hope to have a very relaxed afternoon which will create an opportunity to fellowship together. We will begin with a picnic together (bring your own!), but the rest of the afternoon will be fairly flexible. Whether you fancy a walk around the grounds, a game of cricket, or just a chat, there will be a way for everyone to get involved. If you intend to come along, please sign up at the back of church and indicate whether you will need transport, or could offer transport. Lyme Park is a National Trust property so parking is free for members. Please bring: Your picnic, mats/chairs, any ball games etc.

We are running ʻPitstopʼ again! There is another opportunity to invest in your relationship – this time on the four Sundays in July. We are going to start each session with a simple lunch at 1pm and plan to finish at 3pm. We have chosen this time in the hope that those with young children will find it easier to make care arrangements. There will be no fee for the course, just the opportunity to make a contribution towards the cost of lunch! Read the brochure for more information and return the registration form by 25th June. Dates – 3, 10, 17 & 24 July Times – 13.00 – 15.00 Venue – Romiley Lifecentre

Gardening at the Vicarage Grateful thanks to all those who turned up last time for the work party. We cleared lots of the garden and everyone involved has said how much fun they had catching up with and getting to know people as they worked together. We are planning another morning of work on SATURDAY 2 JULY, STARTING AT 9.30AM AT THE VICARAGE. Put the date in your diary and just come along - and please bring any gardening tools you have and your own gardening gloves if you have them. We will also need people to help clean inside the vicarage. Please bring cleaning products etc with you. We guarantee you will have lots of fun.

Cleaning at the Guywood Centre The Guywood Centre needs a good late spring clean! Anyone who would be willing to help, even just for an hour or two in the next 2 weeks, please let Jill Hookway know – 07899 656206.

Thank you!

Car needed for 1 month Sarah Jeffery needs the use of a car for 1month while she visits the UK (10th July – 10th Aug). For more info or if you think you could freely offer a car for a week or two, or even the full month please contact Pam Jeffery.
