I have been principal at Abraham Lincoln Elementary for thepast 8 years.The best part of my career in Medford has been the joy and loveshared with me by students, staff, and other administrators. Mymost favorite are smiles and morning hugs from my students asI welcome them to school each morning.My future plans are to travel to Europe. Spend time with myGrandkids in Seattle. Sew many projects with my new sewingmachine. Watch the blue heron, and other birds, fly up and down the Rogue River behind our home. And mostimportantly… love and appreciate my husband, Joe!

This is my 27th year with Medford, out of almost 30 years ofteaching.The best part of my career has been hearing children singing. Ilove it!I’m looking forward to spending time with my sons and theirfamilies, playing music more, sewing, reading, spending time out ofdoors and generally just appreciating life and the people I love.

Thanks to all of you whom I have worked with.In my retirement, I plan on disabling the alarm function on my clocks,seeing the world, and volunteering for programs I am passionate about.Since some of these activities will cost money, I will also work asneeded.

I’ve worked in the area of ESL/ELD for about 27 years, with themajority of my career at wonderful Washington Elementary.The best part of my career is twofold: First, I loved working with mystudents on a longitudinal basis. As the ESL teacher, I’ve been able towatch my students growup, get to know their families, and enjoy themany different cultures that have come through our doors. It has beena privilege to serve the EL population and to support our staff.Secondly, my job matched my skills, background and personality, so ILOVED coming to work. How great is that? I am the lucky one!My future plans are still out in the future! I am making my “list” of thingsI want to do! Thank you Medford School District for the best experienceof my entire life! I loved it!

Moving to Oregon in 1986, Istarted at Oak Grove and then moved to Lone Pine for a total of 30years in the Medford District. Before that I taught 12 years in Nebraska.• What has been the best part of your career here? The best part of mycareer has been meeting so many amazing teachers who have becomefriends. I enjoyed teaching all the different grade levels and learningmany new things, such as grant writing, which I didn’t think was so greatat the time.• What are your future plans? After I am well rested, I intend onspending some quality time with my grandchildren, traveling to all theplaces I never had the time to do, and I want to again ride my bike.

I have been a teacher with Medford School District for 31
years. I started out at Roosevelt Elementary teaching
kindergarten, first and second grades. I have been at
Jacksonville Elementary teaching third grade for 24 years.
I have had an amazing career! I feel honored and blessed
to have taught and inspired our creative young students. It
has been especially rewarding to live and work in
Jacksonville, and be a part of such a special community.
In my retirement I plan to spend quality time with my family
and friends. I want to travel and explore, read, relax, and
start a new chapter in my life!

I have been a Lead teacher for the Health/Family and ConsumerSciences/Child Development Center department for more than 10years. I have served many roles at North Medford High School,including fillin culinary instructor, and even English teacher for oneyear. I have also been the Cheerleading Adviser.I did my student teaching in the same school that I spent my entirecareer. I have been at Medford Senior High/North Medford HighSchool for 37 years.Due to my longevity at North, I have been able to be instrumental inthe development of two successful programs. I started teaching ata time when the concept for Family Health was just beginning.

I was able to become responsible for the Child
Development program and aligning Child Development
classes with RCC, as well as beginning to give college
credit for high school child development classes. This had
not been done before. Our classes continue to work
directly with the children in the North Medford Child
Development Center.
In the future, I may do some substituting or pursue the idea
of being a Mentor Teacher. I plan to travel, spend time with
my family and grand babies, ride my road bike, garden and
enjoy the outofdoors.

My future plans are to finish our remodel that my husband and
I did ourselves from the ground up. More traveling, bicycling,
hiking, volunteering with various nonprofit groups and
Christian organizations, creating art for pleasure and profit

I have been an elementary teacher at Lone Pine for 20
years. I’ve taught 4th 5th and 6th grade.
Teaching 5th grade has been the most enjoyable. I like
the age group and I like the curriculum. I’ve been
fortunate to have worked with excellent teachers,
support staff and principals.
Plans? Read, travel, be unconstrained by schedules.
This is my 26th year in the district. I've been a campus monitor andan ed assistant and have worked at Hoover Elementary and ALE.The best part of my career has been working with children, teachersand 4 amazing principals. Over the years it has truly been the teamapproach. We could not do what we do without each other. My lovefor the whole child is what drives me on.Upon retirement, my husband and I plan to run away. We have beenmarried for 43 years in June and have worked all our lives. Now isour time. We will be doing some travelling and enjoying our 5thwheel, camping with friends and spending time with family. I lookforward to this new chapter.

We won two contests onthe national level and traveled to New York and to Ohio. Funtimes!! In my retirement, I plan to practice the art of fulfillment byestablishing positive rituals that will ensure progress andgrowth in my life in whatever endeavors I choose, whether itbe travel, fitness, music or relationships. I will choose to live ina beautiful state and find beauty in whatever life brings.
