The Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo is the second longest running Victorian rodeo and the first of the summer circuit. Myrtleford is regarded as having one of the most spectacular rodeo arenas in Australia. The Stockman's Hall of Fame in Longreach displays photos of the Myrtleford Rodeo and recognises its place in the history of rodeos in Australia.
This year’s program promises to be bigger and better than ever with Cowboys and Cowgirls from across the country competing for Australian Professional Rodeo Association championship points and the coveted Golden Spurs. This year will include: breakaway roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback riding, bull riding, with dinner break entertainment by Yackandandah’s own Lachie Cossor, who recently returned from performances at Longreach’s Stockman’s Hall of Fame.
Big Screen Replays will again be available for you to see all the thrills and spill and show you again what it is really like to be thrown off a bull!
There is a strictly enforced no BYO alcohol or glass policy.
Patrons should note that dogs are NOT permitted in the controlled Rodeo viewing area because of possible litigation, i.e. past our entrance gate
Gates open at 11.00am for the lead up events with the main program running from 4.00pm to 11.00pm.

Ovens Valley Specialist Medical Transport Service The Specialist Medical Transport Service provides volunteer transport to the residents of the Ovens Valley from Harrietville to Everton, to specialist medical appointments which are located outside of the Alpine Shire. WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any person from the Ovens Valley, who is unable to access public transport, taxis or private transport and who is experiencing transport disadvantage due to economic, geographic or disability status (including temporary disability). COST
The service relies on clients donations to assist with the day to day running costs. You will be advised by the coordinator of the requested amount when you make your booking.

This free service provides a friendly space to have a cuppa, heat your lunch and they can even provide personal care and meal assistance. There is also wheelchair and scooter recharge
