A young girl named Luci Fer the age of 6, living in a house by a lake was walking on the jetty when she dropped her necklace in the lake, having always been told never to go into the lake against her fathers will she went into to get her necklace but while she was in the water she saw what she thought was a dead body, terrified she ran out and back to the house to tell her father. He told her that she must be mistaken and that she was seeing things. But the young girl persist and refuses to believe no-one is there. This story takes place in Massachusetts in 1998 in a small town near a lake. The girls father James Ferr then puts her into an mental asylum as he is unable to make her believe no-one is there. Luci persuaded by -------- her new friend escapes from the asylum to kill her father and to go back to the lake and see if the body is still there. When she gets back to the house and the lake to search for the girl in the water she finds no-one there and we begin to realise that she had created this other girl or friend in her mind. She then drowns her self and is found floating in the water a few days later.

The Book• A family with friends are going to do a cruise. One day before

it starts the daughter got a horror book as her birthday present where she reads a story about a murderer who killed women on a cruise. There was exactly standing how he has done it. The killer which comes to the cruise as a ship’s boy wants to become famous. The killer who has done the killing 50 years ago became very famous. So the man is thinking if he would do this he would also be famous. The man who has done it before was his grandfather. The family and the friends are going to the cruise where the killer is. The killer started to murder an old women like the killer before. The daughter realizes that the killer is doing the same thing like the murderer before. But nobody believes her. So she tries to be faster than the murderer is but she isn’t. At the end the killer found out that the daughter knows that he is the murderer. So he kills her. But then the family and the crew realizes that he is the killer and they bring him to the police.

• The film opens with Jack looking through a property catalogue. He then see’s that there is an apartment for sale, which says newly refurbished. Cut to The man at an auction for the apartment. The film then cuts to the title sequence when the auctioneer shouts sold. The title sequence is a property catalogue opening on different pages of different houses. The title sequence conveys a sense of false security showing the supposedly perfect houses which are for sale. The man is filmed with a marker crossing off houses he doesn’t want and ends with him ticking the Apartment to signify that is the one he has bought.

The next scene opens with Jack arriving outside the apartment complex in his car. The man

Identifies that it is him with the superintendent before moving to the fourth floor where his room is located. He then carries his bags up the stairs and remarks on the well kept nature of the apartment. The scene ends with the man locking the door, before cutting to the man supposedly settled in the apartment four weeks later.

The final scene of act one involves Jack receiving a letter under his door from someone under the slit in his door.

Jack opens the letter to find several photos of gruesome deaths (all appearing vaguely self inflicted) of the previous tenants in the room of the apartment jack is staying in. Cut to act two
