It is so close to the center of Georgia that it is nicknamed the, “Heart of Georgia.”

after Athens. The population of Macon in 2010 is 97,255Downtown Macon during the early 1900’s

Why I Macon

The reason I love Macon is because it is a medium sized town where everyone knows each other and you can make friends that last a life time. It is not hard to get around at all and is a very clean city. I

love the south and I am proud to be a Maconite.
