This is my final major project 2010 on the format of posters, My original idea was to create a poster pad that people interacted with through perforation. It focused on the surfaces posters are put on the front and my classmates opinions of posters on the back. After reducing this idea down to make it better I made the sole focus of the pad about the surfaces on which posters are placed. I then put these surface posters back into the environment they came from and other places in that area. Questioning the thing that no one ever notices about a poster, the wall they are put on and how now days people rarely notice posters. I invited some family to interact with the pad as well and these are the results, as well as a few more experiments. Simply follow the links. Abby interacting with the pad. Me placing the posters back in their environment. Me placing the posters back into different places Col and Emma interacting with the pad. Photoshop experiments. Further play. I also created a flickr pool so the public can join and take part. Click to view.
