These photographs were shot with a Nikon D70 camera and then manipulated in Photomatix Pro 3. I love creating HDR images, (high dynamic range). This means shooting the same image with a minimum of five different exposures, and then those five images are combined into one final image. The final image comes out very dramatic, and you can tweak the photograph to your own liking.

Photography excites me because I am able to catch a moment through a camera lens, and be able to capture this moment onto a photograph. Everyone sees the world through a different lens, which allows each photographer to have their own unique style.

PHOTOGRAPHS:A A perspective of a front angle view made an interesting photograph.B A reflection of myself taking a photograph in the headlights was a creative way to capture the moment.C The downward angle of the front end made an interesting perspective.D To capture the emotion of being inside the drivers seat made an interesting angle. E Capturing the vehicle through the reflection on another vehicle’s rim was a creative perspective.F The back end at a lower angle making an interesting shot.

This is a poster I created using Adobe Photoshop CS4. I shot photographs of fruit and incorporated them in the poster to represent the color spectrum. These posters show the design process I went through to come up with the final design.

DESIGNS:A This is where I started when creating the poster, but it just wasn’t working for me.B I tried to evolve my first idea a little further, but realized it was a little too much creativity.C I tried to go in a different direction from the previous idea which brought on the painter’s palette idea.D From the previous idea brought me this idea. I liked this idea, but was still missing something.E I really like the final design and I believe I included all the necessary elements to create a good design.

Here are a catalog design and another poster design that I created in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

DESIGNS:F Here is the front of the catalog. I set up a cover shot with some of my fiancée’s jewelry and photographed it with a Nikon D70. G This is the inside of the catalog. For each piece of jewelry I photographed, I then went in Adobe Photoshop and cut out the pieces of jewelry. I used two image’s one of a shore-line and one of a desert, and put one on top of the other. H This was a poster I designed for a comic book artist event at the New York Children’s Museum. I wanted to include a lot of colors, and design it somewhat with the look of a comic book.

These are some illustrations I have created in Adobe Illustrator CS4. I enjoy creating Illustrations from photographs. Live trace was the technique for converting each photograph into a illustration and added additional details to each picture.

I created a personal identity package that contained all my design work. The program I used, Illustrator CS4, created everything and I also recreated it in Quark Xpress.

B This is a booklet that showcases work I have done, and a brief description of each piece.C Here is a CD with the overall design on it to tie in with the other components.D The front of my business card.E The back of my business card.

I designed three pieces for Chevrolet Volt, and recreated the Chevrolet Volt logo. I used the programs Adobe Illustrator CS4, Photoshop CS4, and Indesign CS4 to create these three pieces.

Advertising:A This is the front cover of my brochure, and I wanted it simple yet still interesting. The logo in the center on the back cover is my Chevrolet Volt logo I designed.B Here is the inside of my brochure. I designed the inside to be interesting and also cover the questions that all people may have about the Chevrolet Volt.C This is my Chevrolet Volt poster. I wanted to keep the design looking somewhat connected to the brochure and yet add some variety to the design. D Here is my billboard I designed. I again wanted to keep it connected to the other elements and also keep it simple. I also added the catch phrase here that were in the other components as well.
