• The country of Fiji lies about two-thirds from Hawaii to New Zealand.

• The main natural resources of Fiji are timber, gold, copper, fish, offshore oil and hydro power.

• Fiji has a variable rainfall with more rain falling in the warmer season.

• It is warm for most of the year, particularly in November and finishes in April.

• The music of Fiji is more Polynesian in character. Nevertheless, Fijian folk styles are distinct in their fusion of Polynesian and Melanesian traditions.

• These are some of the different types of music that are apart of the Fiji’s traditional music .

• The Fijian MekeThe most popular traditional Fijian dance is the meke, which is a combination of dance and story-telling through song.

• Poi DancePoi is another form of dance in Fiji that is often performed at fire-walking shows (a practice in Fiji with historic significance that is now commonly performed to entertain tourists).

• Indo-Fijian Dance There are seven types of classical Indian dances ,bharathnatym and kathak are the most popular and like in the Fijian meke, each of the movements and gestures of these dances signifies a particular meaning.

• Fiji Art is the complete presentation of the Fiji Culture often in the shape of beautifully crafted wooden handicrafts.

• Weaving is an important part of Fiji Art and beautiful variety of mats.

• Another significant souvenir of Fiji Art is "The Tapa Cloth material" and its origin is from the mulberry leaves.

• There are many different types of food in Fiji, just like the many cultures.

• The indigenous people of Fiji prefer things like Lovo, pulasami etc. mostly things with coconut milk or oil.

• Indian Fijians most have things like curry, roti etc. things that are spicy.

• Telling stories or myths and legends is a popular pastime in Fiji.

• One popular Fijian creation myth that explains the existence of human life on the islands is of the ancestral snake god.

• . One very popular event is the Meke, which is a Fijian dance preformed by the locals.

Fiji Cruises • Visitors can view attractions in Fiji in

many different ways such as a cruise by schooner or yacht to the various islands encompassing Fiji, or a coach tour on the main islands.

is walking on the calm beaches of Nadi.
