KEY TIPS Relay the message to potential donors that - Donate whatever you can, small or large

    every penny makes a difference.

Have good knowledge of the charity itself. Being a fundraiser theinformation provided in this booklet is imperative. Rememberyour donor is giving their OWN money away and have the right toask questions where it will be spent. Therefore make sure you are

well equipped with the knowledge of the charity and its aims andobjectives.

Carry your sponsorship form everywhere - you neverknow when an opportunity may arise. By speaking topeople in person about your fundraising efforts they willoften want to donate on the spot.

Rope in some help with the help of your family andfriends, and they will be able to reach a wider network ofpeople.

Make up the first amount on your form - for example 20,as normally people will follow suit.

Most charities will recommend that you do NOT raise money for yourevent by collecting on the street. Please do not do anything unsafeor illegal everything you do will reflect on the charity and ourreputation is very important to us. If in doubt ask our permission first.

When holding events in public areas please make sure you are coveredby the local authority public liability insurance and that you have theappropriate licences.

    AGHOSHorphan care home

The Orphan Care Home once complete will house andaccommodate 500 children.

The children will go through formal educationprocedure; primary, secondary, college and university

(The education will include both secular and religiouseducation)

A lot of work has been done in completing this project andmost importantly in ensuring the safety of the children.

Independent review has shown that this project will be thebiggest of its kind being an asset to the developing world.

The harsh reality of the world that we live in are as such thatchildren are:

left displaced from the disasters of civil war and natural disastersworking at the age of 5 or 6 years earning less than 2 dollars amonth looking towards a better future. Aghosh is one of the mostprominent and sustainable programs of Minhaj Welfare Foundation. This is one of the largest Orphanages in Pakistan which will be usedas a safe abode and pivotal point for a better education.
