NISSAN GT-R 2012

An (almost) luxury car

Since its launch in 1969, the Nissan

GT-R has had more than 10 new

versions, with 3 and 5 doors and

coupé bodyworks and more than 5

generations. In just a few years

this model has managed to

become a legend of motorsport.

Every version has many and

important improvements, and we

expose the new version, the GT-R

2012 and we will explain the new

improvements.

The first thing that is improved is the power with the same motor version. A V6 engine block,

with 3,799 cc and twin turbo that offers powers since 480 cv to 550, it should be remembered

that the last GT-R version had 485 cv without more possibilities of engines.

In paragraph aesthetic, the GT-R does not have many changes. It remains the 3 door’s

bodywork, rear spoiler and the characteristic circular headlights.

The torque has been increased from 612 Nm to 632 Nm between 3.200 and 5.800 RPM,

getting more torque on low revolutions and more power on high revolutions.

For other hand, the consumption has

been reduced in 0.2 liters/100 km,

however remains in 11.8 liters/100 km,

low numbers if we compare with the

intake of Bugatti Veyron super sport that

is 25 liters for 100 km. Other important

point is the injection that has been

improved, as the exhaust system and

admission valves, all this to obtain better

acceleration.

V6 engine block, with turbos on the sides.

The mechanics change has been, apart

from the engine, a new gearbox with

double clutch and the new Valvuline

oil, also, the luxury packet called

“Track Pack” has the carbon-ceramic

brakes. This pack was the responsible

to do 7’24’’ in the green hell

(Nürburgring Nordschleife), is clear

that this car have the perfect

combination between to be a car of

the streets, and to be a car to the

circuits.

In conclusion, the new Nissan GT-R 2012 is the most serious bet from Nissan to have a car in

the Sports car division, with one price between the 99.490 €, that is the price of the GT-R R24

2011 in Spain. With this price, 18 times less that the Bugatti (1.830.000 €), we are in front of

one of the best car in the world.

In this table, you can see the principal features between new and old version.

Frame Nathan’s Williams

This is the new bmx

frame Nathan’s

Williams signature

United Mothership

frame. When working

on this frame strength

and durability were

always at the top of

our list, with the way

Nathan rides

constantly trying to

lighten up a frame just didn’t make sense. What we have ended up with here is the strongest

frame we have produced by thickening up key stress areas, adding custom ovalized down

tubes & chain stays for dent resistance, an all new gusset area combined with a longer head

tube to provide a

stronger junction,

and then by

trimming down

areas that can be

done so safely, have

come up with a what

we feel is a perfect

strength to weight

ratio.

GABE BROOKS

Name: Gabe Brooks Age: 25 Location: South Central, Los Angeles, California Sponsors: Kink Bikes, Demolition Parts, Quintin, OSS

Gabe Brooks grew up in South Central Los Angeles, where, as he put it, “I started gang banging when I was 11 years old and I fired my first pistol that same year.” And although he always rode BMX, after some hard life lessons, Gabe ditched the gang life altogether and today he fires out gaps and rails instead. His energy and enthusiasm is invigorating, his personality is hilarious, and I think his story is inspiring.

Page 8: MutherFackers

Would you mind describing where you’re from for me? I’m from 53rd and Normandie—the land of the gang bang.

Tell me a little about how you got started riding. Well, it started off in ’95 watching X Games and just kind of jerking around on my bike after gymnastic practice. A good friend of mine named Ronald taught me a lot after riding with him over some time, also Ron McCoy, who is an old school flatlander—he taught a lot of us in the crew a lot of stuff.

I heard that you used to be a gymnast. It’s pretty crazy watching you use that stuff to help get out of falls. Yeah man, it’s real helpful staying flexible

and light on my toes for those no win situations.

Being in good shape seems to be pretty important to you and it obviously helps with your riding, as well. Yeah man, I’m more of a calisthenics person. I believe that you are your own gym and also calisthenics sticks with you!

Do you want to talk about gang banging while you were growing up? Well, as I caught the end of the ’80s and early ’90s I became accustomed to crip’n in it’s finest. Even in the mid ’90s it was booming! I started gang banging when I was 11 years old and I fired my first pistol that same year. I witnessed so much sh-t happen; murders, stabbing, gang beatings, drugs, and what sticks with me until this day—which is hustling. Nowadays it’s not the same because the new generation don’t have anything to stand for, opposed to back then, when race was a big difference. I hear Mexicans say, “my nigguh” and it’s like, “Ok, do this mother f-cker see me standing here?” I know you don’t mean it that way, but hey, watch your f-cking mouth around a real nigguh.

Where did gang banging end up getting you? Gang banging messed my scholarship up and I can’t get a job due to gang activities that got me in jail—it got me nowhere! There was nothing positive that I remember about gang life!

Were you still riding at all while you were getting in trouble? I juggled it in between, but I did manage days to ride our local trail spot (The Flats) when the police were too hot in the hood that’s where I would go.

Page 9: MutherFackers

It seems like once you started to focus on riding you picked up a few sponsors and things kinda took off for you pretty quickly, how was the last year for you? Man, last year was awesome. People accepted me for who I was and loved the fact that I channeled my energy towards grinding and the sincerity that I have for BMX. It’s crazy because Pat Wang told me to hit up Jay Roe [Kink TM] and now it’s like I never asked and I was always a part of Kink.

You started traveling too, where did you go? I took an east coast tour to Massachusetts, Philadelphia, and New York. I went to Colorado with the OSS crew—which was nuts. And Quintin sent me to Austin, Texas, for Texas Toast and it was awesome, man.

Which riders are you psyched on? Who motivates you? Sean Ricany, Mike Mastroni, Ty Morrow, Erik Elstran—I’m into creativity, man.

What are some of your favorite things to do on a bike? I like to jump high, I like to go up rails, I like to float trails—everything and anything that causes high speed.

What are a few tricks you just can’t seem to figure out? Barspins. I just can’t get them consistently.

Deadmau5.

We’re going to interview Deadmau5, formerly know as Joel Zimmerman. He is a young

musician, from Canada, and he produces his own electronic music. He has become famous in

the last years due to his spectacular music, live performances, shows, and his big mouse head.

First of all, it’s obvious, what about your head?

It’s all about my name, and it come because I found a dead mouse inside my computer when I

was about to change my graphics card and people started to call me ‘the dead mouse guy’ and

I decided to enter a chat and call myself ‘DeadMouse’, but it was to long to fit, so it finished

like ‘Deadmau5’.

Deadmau5 live at Coachella 2011.

You released your last album (4x4=12)

in December 2010, are you preparing

some new tracks?

Well yes, I have done some tracks but

they’re still secret, I’ll release

something new in the next months!

You have collaborated with Daft Punk, certainly strange people too (laughs) and your track

was a hit, will you do something else? It would be great!

Hahaha, they’re awesome! I liked to produce that remixes with them, but they’re actually

working in their new album and now I have

plenty of tours so it will have to wait a bit.

Well, thank you for your time and hope

you keep on that! ;)

Santiago Cañizares

This time we interviewed Santiago Canizares, well known by all football fans. It was Real

Madrid and Valencia CF keeper, in addition to the Spanish Selection. Currently pilots in rallies,

and last year he debuted a scoring event for the Rally Championship in Spain.

Where did you get the love of rallying?

I've always liked the Rally, I believe that

Carlos Sainz aroused a passion on me, and, I think,

it was the introduction to the rallies.

What is the thing that you love in this

competition?

I love the good mood that permeates between the

teams. We all get along.

What motor pilot is for you a role model?

Anyone who respects the rules and

practice the sport, I admire them all.

Is there a test car that especially you

would like to participate?

Currently I do not look beyond the

championships that I'm running, I think

it's enough and sometimes I have

trouble balancing my work. I do not

think it's time to look for more

incentives than at present.
