Milestone 1 Goals

• Control Circuit:– Finish building and test

• Secondary Circuit:– Measure the inductance, capacitance, and impedance of the secondary coil– Attach the top load

• Power Supply:– Finish the power supply

• Transmission System– Build the system– Begin testing the system

• User Input System:– Get input from the keyboard– Begin implementing the key press algorithm.– Should be functioning, but not complete. We will test different algorithms on the

coil once the systems are assembled.

• Primary supply– Full wave rectified 120Vac.– 1500uF smoothing capacitor.– 16 gauge wire.

• Breaker – 10 Amp breaker added to limit current and

when open, isolates the high voltage supply from control circuit.

• Terminal block– Used to bleed the large primary capacitor.– Currently contains a 1 kΩ resistor.– Drains capacitor in ~10 seconds.

Transmission System

• Originally Tested with Resistor in the right circuit to 190 kOhms• With more testing, by increasing the Resistor to 470 kOhms, the

DC Offset was reduced to 1V and P-P was increased to 2.6V
