Our production courses will empower your knowledge about the production process and how it directly relates to music creation. Logic Pro X – Basic Course

Day 1: Explore your software + Audio Recording in the Digital World

1.) Building a “Quick Song” to explore your software (bird’s eye view) (length: 90+ minutes)

Day 2: MIDI Basics + Virtual Instruments (Intro)

Day 4: Basic Audio Editing + Working with Pitch & Time (Intro)

2.) Working with Pitch & Time (length: 90+ minutes)

Commitment: 10 days / 40 hours.

Tuition: Music Production: Basic Course - $ 600 per student. Maximum: 6 students per group. Music Production: Advanced Course - $ 1200 per student. Maximum: 6 students per group. Choose your lesson - $96 per hour per student. Maximum: 1 student per group. Full payment will be required once the full group enrollment is completed. Schedule: Other schedules could be opened depend on the demand needs: All hours are Central Time (Houston, TX) Basic: Group 1: June 11 – June 20, 2018 (M/W/F) 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Group 2: June 12 – June 26, 2018 (T/Th) 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Group 3: June 28 – July 12, 2018 (T/Th) 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (No lesson on June 29) Group 4: July 11 – July 20, 2018 (M/W/F) 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Advanced: Group 1: June 22 – July 16, 2018 (M/W/F) 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (No lessons on June 29) Choose your lesson: To be agreed according to student and instructor availability.

Materials:

Due to the depth and complexity of the subject under study, we offer a Wrap Video at the end of the course with compiled answers to a pool of questions collected from students. Students will be allowed to send 3 or 4 questions to the instructor, who will make a video featuring all the requested answers. Terms:

Cancellations: If the instructor were to cancel a lesson for any reason, the session will be rescheduled. If the lesson is not rescheduled, it will be credited towards other course or money will be refunded. Cancellations must be made at least 48-hours in advance before the courses start. Payment from the lesson will then be credited towards the following month. If the cancellation occurs past the 48- hour deadline, then you will not be credited or refunded. Emergencies are the only exception (please see below).

• Emergencies include sickness, family emergencies, and death in the family. • Extracurricular activities, events, games, tournaments, clubs or any form of testing will not be counted as emergencies. • Regardless of the circumstances, all students/parents must communicate to the instructor if unable to attend the lesson.

Rescheduling: Lessons may be rescheduled if notified 1 week or more in advance; however, this not a guarantee. Cancellation of a lesson does not guarantee a make-up lesson. If a student is late to a lesson, make-up time will not be given. Student dismissal: We reserve the right to dismiss a student if any of the above policies is violated and will handle these issues on a case-by-case basis. In the event that the student or parent wishes to discontinue lessons, any remaining lesson credit will not be refunded. Software: If you do not own Ableton Live 10, you can download the free and fully featured Ableton Live 10 Trial. The trial version will allow you to save and export your work for 30 days. If you use the trial version, do not download it until the course is scheduled to begin. In the case of Logic Pro X, the software must to be purchased. We use Zoom Video Communications / Web Conference platform under their privacy policy. (https://zoom.us/terms) Hardware: Students must have an Audio Interface with at least with two channels for mic/instrument and MIDI interface with a MIDI device. Internet: It is recommended to have full bandwidth available during the session. Avoid to stream/download videos or heavy files from other computers. Money will not be refunded for troubles with internet connection on the side of the students.
