Pastor Mark Reynolds KidsCamp 2015 Planning Team, Volunteers, Prayer Warriors and all those who donated to help make KidsCamp 2015 a huge success. We THANK YOU!!! What a great week with over 100 kid’s joining us each day. The focus was on ‘Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power!’ The gift of salvation was presented and of course…they had lots and lots of fun! Your love and dedication is greatly appreciated. All week the boys and girls competed through the Penny March to raise money to buy Bibles for kids in Thailand. Each morning a pink (girls) and blue (boys) bucket was placed by the door and as the kids entered they would drop anything from pennies to dollars into the bucket for their team. This year combined they raised over $755 towards the purchase of Bibles for kids in Thailand. That’s over 188 Bibles or in another words, that’s Bibles for 188 boys and girls. Great job boys & girls! KidsCamp music CD’s are available for purchase at the Welcome Center for $5. July Sunday Sermon Series Cotton Candy & Coasters –”This ain’t no walk in the Park” Summertime, a time of vacations, beaches and amusements parks. But often they don’t go as hoped or planned. We head to the beach and have a great day in the sun, but get sunburnt as a result. Or we jump on a ride at the amusement park and instead of being excited and thrilled you end up feeling sick. Or just walking through the park and the next thing you know you’ve stepped in a puddle from an ice cream cone that has melted in the sun. Join us during the month of July as we look at some of the different things that bring summer amusement, but remember life ain’t always a walk in the park. Five Day Frenzy 2015 Recap 25 JR HI students got to experience a week filled with fun, friends and teaching based on fighting the fears that students can have. Keaton Washburn led everyone through a week of bible study on how the disciples had to face certain fears as they walked with Jesus and illustrated how our students can overcome those situations that come into our lives. The week was also filled with activities like two trips to Metro Beach (a photo hunt and a human sized Clue game called Mystery P.I.), a blindfolded walk in Steffens Park, kickball, crazy food games, a pool party, bible quizzing, and so much more. There were several students who memorized enough bible verses to get free trips to the upcoming Michigan Adventure trip. Big time thank You’s go out to all the volunteers that made this week so great!
